Tripwire
itpr managed the UK launch of Tripwire research into the levels of understanding of PCI Compliance amongst UK businesses. At the launch event, held at Gordon Ramsay’s at Claridge’s in London, 18 key trade journalists attended from a variety of sectors such as IT & Technology, Security, Business and Retail.
This in turn, on its own, generated 30+ individual pieces of UK trade coverage, both online and offline, in core publications such as Computing, Computer Weekly, Silicon.com, SC Magazine and Internet Retailing.
McKESSON
“Most PR agencies will claim that the effect of their campaigns can never be formally quantified, but because itpr’s approach is focused on generating sales leads, their success can easily be appreciated. From just one news story that itpr drafted for us and had placed in our top target media titles, we were able to secure two additional key sales leads from organisations that we may not otherwise have had any contact with at the right time. Just one of these leads has the potential to provide a full return on investment, many times over, on the five years we have enjoyed with itpr supporting our marketing activity.”

“One of the key aims of any PR campaign is to improve market awareness of your product range and brand, and itpr have certainly helped us do that. We launched a new online service this year and from just one of the pieces of coverage that itpr generated in our key media surrounding this initiative, we saw the online inbound traffic spike by 47% above the monthly average.”

“The Search Engine Optimised press releases that itpr has written and distributed for us have had dramatic effects. Each release has resulted in approximately 800 inbound links being created from well-indexed and reputable sites, and we have regularly and consistently reached the front page of Google for the key terms we have devised with itpr. This increase in brand exposure has been critical in our expansion into the US.”

GFI Software
itpr developed an independent research project to supplement the ongoing campaign which delivered an 18-page White Paper into SME attitudes towards internal and external security threats and IT security budgets – The GFI Software SME Security Report.
Journalists from a variety of trade sectors, including Info4security.com, Computer Weekly and the Press Association, attended the research launch event at Maze, Grosvenor Square, London, and a number of telephone-based interviews were organised with channel and IT trade media such as CRN in the days preceeding.
The resultant coverage included IT publications such as Computing, channel publications such CRN and regional and national mainstream coverage in the form of the Evening Standard and Times Online.
Because of its success, this has now been rolled out to become an annual event, ensuring regular personal contact with the key media and anticipation of the release of the white papers each year from within the journalist community.

“We place significant value on the work we do with itpr. Testament to this value was seen most recently when a press release, created by itpr around the contract we had won with our client Tesco Stores Ltd, generated a brand new client in the form of Mamas & Papas. Delegates from Mamas & Papas, that we were hoping to reach with the press coverage, saw the release and contacted Bond International Software directly to find out more.”

“These guys are different and they’ve made a very real impact on our business. They’re not always hassling me for news and comment like my previous agency, they actually generate the thought leadership material using the very freelancers that write for the publications we are trying to get coverage in. When they need something, they proactively interview me, write the copy and all I have to do is glance over it and sign it off.
“People regularly ask me who does our PR and though I’d like to keep them to myself, I’m always happy to recommend them.”

“The key thing is to find an agency that not only understands PR but also really understands your business. itpr does just that and the benefits that itpr offers far outweigh those that a full-time in-house PR person could provide.
“One of the reasons I think the overall PR programme is so successful is because of the close relationship we have with itpr. They are fun to work with, but they are also hardworking and are seen by the business as really being an extension of the marketing team.”
Sales and Marketing Director, Albany Software

“itpr helped us to clarify our positioning and consolidate our position as the UK’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of IT hardware.
“They have engaged with us from the outset with enthusiasm and have helped us to drive forward our positioning. It has not come as any great surprise that we have, whilst raising our profile, also been appointed as a listed supplier by Buying Solutions, the national procurement partner for UK public services, to supply desktop hardware across the public sector, and are therefore expecting a 40% increase in revenue over the coming year.
“itpr has helped us raise our profile in the Press significantly, with a monthly coverage increase of 100% when compared to our previous agency.”
