It seemed a very natural step for me: journalist to PR. Far more logical than my first career switch from ballet dancer to TV researcher seemed about a million years ago.
Ever since submitting my first line of copy, I’ve loved working in the media and moving into PR was the perfect opportunity to see it from a fresh angle; reach new audiences, dance to a different tune.
This side of the editorial page is no less busy than the other. The PR pace is fierce and frenetic and not without its own element of theatrical showmanship. Backstage in the office, it’s fun and a bit eccentric but the men don’t look quite so good in tights.
