Inspired by Edina Monsoon of Ab Fab fame, a career in PR seemed the perfect life for me. This champagne-swilling, glamorous profession coupled with my personal goal to be the next Pierluigi Collina seemed like a perfect combination.
However, as with many things in life neither career nor hobby has been as easy as it appears on TV. Each requires strict commitment, dedication and focus, good communication and a flare for people. Creativity and good management skills complement both, and a healthy sense of humour, as always, makes the job altogether more enjoyable.
Sadly my refereeing may not be up to Pierluigi’s standards just yet, but then I’d like to see him write a press release as well as I do!
