Case Studies

Impact Applications

Impact Applications, a provider of ‘zero-client’ e-business and mobile IT solutions, was formed in 2000 as an informal spin-out from the University of Wolverhampton. After a period of sustained product development, the firm was ready to take its Impact: Response operations management product to market and weighed up the options for the most effective way to do this, including display advertising, direct mail, telesales and PR. Martin Taylor, Managing Director, Impact Applications explains.

“We opted for a PR campaign as it quite simply offered us the greatest value for money and was the medium that would allow us to raise our profile the most quickly.”

“The Press coverage that itpr has generated for us has been outstanding in terms of consistently promoting our name, and the benefits we can help our clients achieve, to our target audience.”

“We didn’t have an expectation that editorial coverage would result in inbound enquiries; we were looking to it to raise our name and brand recognition, so when we put our proposition in front of prospective clients via other marketing methods such as direct mail or telesales it would make it easier to attract their attention.”

“This has very much proved to be the case, but we have also been surprised that we have begun to see excellent quality leads directly attributable to the PR coverage generated by itpr in the three months we’ve been working with them.”

“This is a fantastic return for a company of our size and one of those leads is from a large public sector organization that would have been extremely unlikely to have contacted us had we only been advertising or direct mailing them.”

“The fact that this major prospect read a credible article written by an impartial journalist on a successful deployment of our product is what prompted them to make the call – providing a clear vindication of the power of PR.”

“We have begun to see excellent quality leads directly attributable to the PR coverage …”
itpr’s ability to deliver quality Press coverage so quickly is what has surprised us – within a very short time frame we’ve secured, amongst others, a double page feature in Computer Weekly as well as a cover story in one of our key vertical titles, m.logistics magazine."

“The itpr team has rapidly succeeded in helping to define and reinforce our key messages – that we have a robust and stable product, with a number of key distribution agreements, which is generating excellent results for our customers”. “itpr understands our business and where we are seeking to go as a company and they work hard to ensure we are seen in all the areas of the Press that our target audience will be reading.”
