Whilst at school, college and even when I started university, I always thought I wanted a career in Journalism. But some things are just meant to be and after a year studying for this at Bournemouth University, I found myself wanting to learn more about the ‘dark arts’ of the communications industry. So a digital PR degree and a year’s industry experience later, I found myself on the other side of the journo/PR fence. As it turns out, the grass- for me- is definitely greener.

The technology industry is an exciting place to work, because in today’s society, every organisation is using any number of technological solutions to propel it ahead of the competition. There are exciting messages to communicate and important issues to discuss. We as PRs are right at the heart of this, helping our clients push the agenda and shouting their name from the roof tops.

When I’m not managing campaigns, meeting clients or writing press releases, I spend much of my spare time playing first team hockey for Woking HC, or writing inexplicably long blogs, and have genuine aspirations to one day write a novel. I work hard, play hard and very very occasionally, pause for breath!
